Hey everyone! I am a junior majoring in biology, and I am pursuing a concentration in Organismal Physiology. I am starting my one and only co-op this fall at CHOP as a clinical research assistant in the department of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery, specifically pertaining to Hip and Neuromuscular surgery. I am applying to medical school this upcoming spring with the hope of matriculating in 2022. I joined BBB in the spring of my freshman year, and it has been such a wonderful way of meeting new people, especially upperclassmen who often serve as mentors. On campus, I am a student researcher in the Bethea Lab with Dr. Bracchi-Ricard. The research in this lab is focused on neurodegenerative diseases, especially, Multiple Sclerosis. On top of BBB and research, I am also in the coffee club, AMWA, Medlife, and a DCS member. Some of my hobbies include working out, listening to music, and baking. When I'm not drowning in work at Drexel, I like exploring new coffee shops in the city.

Hi! My name is Vivian and I’m a fifth year senior majoring in biology and concentrating in cell, molecular, and genetics biology. I recently finished my third and final co-op as a Clinical Research Assistant in the Hand and Wrist Orthopaedic Surgery Department at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. I also previously worked as a research assistant at the Lankenau Institute of Medical Research in the Cardiac Surgery Research department, in addition to being a Physical Therapist Aide at a Chiropractic Center in NJ. I hope to attend medical school in 2022 and will be spending my gap year at my new job position as an Ophthalmic scribe at the Penn Medicine Scheie Eye Institute. On campus, I enjoy meeting new people and am happy to have joined BBB during my sophomore year to collaborate and socialize with like-minded students. Other than BBB, I enjoy peer mentoring and am active as a mentor in the Drexel Autism Support Program and the Steinbreight Co-op Program, along with being a member in the pre-medical fraternity, Phi Delta Epsilon. Besides school and work, I love trying new sushi restaurants and spending time with my new puppy, Milly!

Hi everyone! My name is Sachi Arambepola. I am Biological science major concentrating in Cell, Molecular, Genetics, and Biochemistry. I’m also minoring in Public Health. I am super excited to be graduating this spring and starting as a full time research associate position at Cabaletta Bio. I joined Tribeta because I wanted to meet and network with people in my major and learn about new opportunities that are available in the biological science field. I’m a big foodie and love trying out new restaurants and recipes. I like going on long walking, binging crime shows, and reading.

TREASURER

Hi everyone! I am a junior biology major with a concentration in organismal physiology. I am also pursuing minors in public health, medical sociology, and business administration. I hope to attend medical school after undergrad. I joined BBB in the fall of my freshman year and I have enjoyed being a part of this wonderful community! Prior to becoming treasurer, I was on the fundraising committee where we hosted a multitude of events to raise money for our amazing organization.
I believe that Tri-Beta gave me the chance to meet new people and attend unique events like the suture clinic! Besides for BBB, I am a member of a few clubs on campus, as well as a volunteer at HUP. My hobbies include cooking, listening to music, and travelling(though that may not be happening for some time)!
